Our mission is to change Canadian career culture through small business transitions.
The Canadian economy is overdue for a change. Once a global leader, our productivity and prosperity has steadily declined for 25 years.
Despite being one of the most educated nations in the world, we’re worse off than before generations of young people indebted themselves on the promise of a better life.
While higher-education has become a well-trodden path, actually working a job to gain skills and invaluable experience (not to mention money!) has become curiously uncommon.
We believe the coming wave of small business transitions is an opportunity to change the way Canadians work (and live) for the better.
In Canada, small businesses represent:
– 99% of all businesses
– 69% of all jobs
– 50% of GDP
And 75% of these small businesses will change hands as their long-time Owner-Operators retire over the next decade. The future of these businesses will heavily impact the future of the Canadian economy over the next 25 years.
We want to ensure the continuation of these small businesses and, through them, the evolution of Canadian career culture.
